Injured Chi Needs Rescue and Medical In Seagoville!

Injured chihuahua in seagoville needs medical attentionApril 16, 2011

Urgent Message from Sgt. Bailey at the Seagoville shelter:

A lady brought this Chihuahua to the Fire Department Friday night. I picked him up and brought him to the shelter. He has a small gash under his left front leg. It appears he’s been attacked by another animal. He is alert and awake but in a lot of pain. He won’t let us look very closely at the wound.

Any rescue that can pull him, please contact me at this email address (kbailey@seagoville.us) or my cell phone 214-329-7741.

We will be at the Seagoville Community Center, 302 E. Farmers Rd., today at 2:00 p.m. for our volunteer meeting. I am taking him up there with me in case someone wants to pick him up.

I don’t have a good place in the shelter to put him and don’t want to leave him there over the weekend.

Thank you for your assistance.

EVENING UPDATE FROM Sgt. Bailey:
“Thank you everyone for your interest in helping this little guy. Norah, one of our volunteers, took him to the local vet this morning where he was patched up and given some medicines to take. Another of our volunteers’ daughter adopted him…this afternoon. He is in very good hands now and will be getting the care he needs. Thank you for getting the word out on him.”
