Do you have a Page on Facebook designed to create awareness for Texas Pets in need of Rescue or Adoption? One for animal advocacy? If so, post the name of the rescue, shelter, or advocacy group and include a link to your Facebook Page in the Comment section below. I moderate the posts to control spam, so it will not appear immediately, but once I approve it will be in the comments. I will then publish this list on the Facebook Page and also keep a copy here on this blog to help others discover the work you are doing. In return, I will love it if you tell others about Facebook.com/PawsTexas and the Pawsitively Texas blog, with a link to both – and add the Facebook/PawsTexas page to your Page of favorites (to do this scroll down the PawsTexas page and click “Add to My Page’s Favorites” (located in the left column).

I’ll also include Twitter links, so feel free to include those too! When we work together we have a stronger voice for the animals!

  1. Animal Advocates of North Tx. was established by a group of shelter volunteers trying to create a change for our local shelter.
Since forming 2 years ago, we have been insturmental in working with our city council and PD to have animals tested, vaccinated and spayed/neutered.
We work with all shelters and rescue groups by providing funds for animals in need, assisting in adoption events, finding fosters and permanent homes for animals.
In two years, we have worked finding homes for over 200 animals.

  2. We are a small independently owned 501 (c),(3) no-kill shelter located NW of Austin and the Cedar Park area in Lago Vista, Texas. We are an all dedicated volunteer group. We are not city funded, all of our funding is through fundraisers, garage sales, grant writing and our donors/supporters.

We have a lot of great dogs and cats that are waiting for their forever family!

  4. National Spay Neuter Awareness, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization established to create and air a national awareness campaign on the importance of spay/neuter in reducing the number of unwanted dogs and cats in the United States. This is an ambitious undertaking, and we look forward to partnering with local animal groups across the country, as well as individuals, foundations, and corporations in creating this campaign. 5. Bosque Animal Rescue Kennels (BARK), was formed in 2003 in Clifton, Texas with this mission statement in mind: Our mission is to provide temporary safe shelter for lost, unwanted, abandoned, or mistreated animals found in Bosque County.

BARK is a no kill shelter, and we are the only no kill shelter in Bosque County. We have helped rehome hundreds of pets since 2003, including adoptions, reuniting with owners, or moving animals to larger no kill shelters so they get more exposure and a better chance at adoption. Transferring to a larger shelter means we are able to help more in Bosque County. Our facebook page is:

BARK will often also list as courtesy postings animals in the city pounds in Bosque County that face euthanization.
