Roxy: Fire Took Her Home and Her Family

October 19, 2011

Susan Brawner shares Roxy’s story with us on our Pawsitively Texas Facebook page in hopes we can help her have a second chance in life. Roxy homeless dog due to fire

Susan reports “Roxy needs a new forever home. This sweet baby lost her family when their home caught fire. One family member could not be saved and others face long term rehabilitation. Won’t someone please give her a forever home where she will feel safe?

“She is located in Willis, TX (Panarama Village) She is approx. 6 months old. She is good with kids and small dogs for sure. She is not spayed and has only had shots that you get from the feed store from what I understand. She is staying with their extended family who already have a Rat Terrier and the Dad says that is too much terrier for them to handle. I told them now that her family can’t take Roxy back to please give me a chance to network her.

“Roxy is good with kids, at least small dogs, not sure about cats. She is a puppy and a Rat Terrier so I am sure she is high energy. She does sleep in a crate, asks to go outside, but is a puppy and may have “accidents”. The extended family that she is staying with have recently found out that she will not be able to return to her home and now it’s not a temporary thing are not going to be able to take her. I asked them to let me network her because I don’t want her to end up at a shelter. This poor baby has been through enough!

“Thank you for your help.”
