Man Battles Man While Shelter Pets Die

November 15, 2011

What an ugly war!

On his Facebook no kill advocacy page, Ryan Clinton published this urgent post this evening:

“EXTREMELY URGENT news for No Kill advocates: The ASPCA is buying up No-Kill domain names in a cyber-squatting attempt to prevent you from starting a group with “No Kill” in its name. If you or someone you know is even considering starting a No Kill movement in your area, you need to purchase your domain name immediately. One person at the ASPCA has already purchased 148 domain names. Please act today.”

And included this link as proof: http://whois.domaintools.com/nokilltampa.org

And while that seems unbelievable, it’s happened here in Texas also. See: http://www.networksolutions.com/whois-search/Nokilldallas.com Do you recognize the last name? It’s the same as the newly appointed chair of the DAS task force that has fought against Texas CAPA and No Kill. Why? When they learned of the No Kill Dallas group, did they offer to sell the NoKillDallas.com, NoKillDallas.org, and NoKillDallas.net domains since they chose another name for their organization?

Shelter Dog asks whyWHY?!

Why are these groups opposed to the true no kill equation? Has anyone figured that out? I absolutely do not get this all out war when the lives of innocent animals are at stake! Why? The no kill equation is working in several US cities including four in Texas. One national group that receives millions of dollars in donations from caring people went as far recently to call no kill advocates terrorists. How is that helpful? How is that a good use of the funds they receive in donations?

I simply don’t get the all out war against the no kill groups. I find it deplorable because while man is wasting time fighting, it’s the innocent, God-created, precious shelter animals that pay with their lives everyday in our country. Can anyone explain this insanity?
