7 Rescue Dogs Need Your Help to Find an Adoptive Home!

Alix’s Pit Bulls is a Dallas/Fort Worth animal rescue organization that began in 2012 when founder Alix Holland pursued her passion to save the dogs that were being killed each week. On her Facebook page, she writes “I feel as if I am destined to save America’s most misunderstood breed. This is my calling. This is my way of life. Since March of 2012 I have been rescuing pit bulls, and sometimes other breeds, from the Fort Worth Animal Shelters Code Red List. I started off doing everything alone. I would adopt the Code Red dogs, and then pay many vet bills to get them healthy again. Once healthy I would find the dog his/her forever home, and go adopt another. Thanks to a nice lady at Kool Kats and Kanines Rescue, Melissa Davis, I am now able to pull with Kool Kats and Kanines. I also attend their adoption events every Sunday.”

The following seven dogs are alive today because Alix saved them from the shelter kill lists. Like all rescues, she can do more when she has more fosters and volunteers to aid her in her mission and help create awareness for the rescue dogs in need of adoption. Rescues like this are much needed; many pit bulls die each week in Texas shelters. Please help the following cute dogs find a loving home by sharing their story; the more quickly rescue pets find a loving home, the more quickly another animal can be saved! And please LIKE her Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/AlixsPitBulls She currently has 1,110 followers and can use so many more for on-going help for the pit bull underdog.

  1. They are are so precious My heart wishes I could take them all but unfortunately I have no where to keep them. I wish for a country home to take in all the animals as a foster or owner. I love them all!! I have grown to love pits from my boyfriend’s pits. They are just big babies compared to my chihuahuas… I wish take in Teddy as well… right now all I can do is advertise for you and support you in prayer. when I get extra monies after I get out of the financial crunch, I would be happy to send some up for your efforts to rescue them…
