Holiday Cheer from Pawsitively Texas

December 24, 2011

Merry Christmas! Happy Hanukkah! Happy Holidays!I know that we have a very diverse group that comprises our community and I pray that however YOU celebrate this holiday season, it is full of love, good cheer, and beauty! I personally celebrate the Christian Christmas; if you do as well, I hope you enjoy the video/song below. I think it is simply beautiful!

THANK YOU! Together, WE make a difference for the pets in need and I could not be more blessed and appreciative of the fact that you joined me here at Pawstively Texas in my vision and dream to make a difference for the pets in our community! “Thank you” will never adequately express my feelings, but I hope somehow, from my heart to yours, you KNOW the valuable role YOU play and how much I value you and your contributions.

My Christmas wish and prayer for 2012 is that the momentum will continue as we raise more awareness, see more communities commit to caring for their animals and choosing to be no kill. If we BELIEVE it is possible, we can make it happen!

This is the video song I mentioned above.

And this is my Maggie Mae, the inspiration behind Pawsitively Texas. She was my love … my baby girl for almost 15 years. We had such fun taking this photo one year. Oh, how she wanted those cookies, but she was so obedient to allow me to take her photo. You should know, however, that as soon as the photo shoot was over, she willingly and with great glee, devoured the plate of cookies. Poor Santa! Merry Christmas, Maggie! I miss you so much and holidays have not been the same since you said “goodbye.”

  1. I have had beagles my whole life. I have children 27 and 25. There was Trail and Bugle when I was born, they were hunters and provided many a meal of rabbit. Then when I was an adult Texas Blue “Brandy” Belle. She Lived a long wonderful life. Next Snifter and LP (Lindsay’s puppy) 16 1/2 and 15. Now Maverick, Belle (shelter dog) and Blue given up by owner. Beagles are the best, loving dogs. God bless Maggie Mae. Merry Christmas! They make us so happy!
